4th Sunday of The Great Lent

SLAVA ISUSU HRISTU! GLORY BE TO JESUS CHRIST!

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ!

Evangelist Mark is presenting to us very beautiful healing episode in today’s Gospel (Mk. 9:17-31). Healing of the boy possessed by evil spirit. Boy’s father asked Jesus for help with these words: “Have mercy on us and help us, if you can.”
When we talk to Jesus through our prayers, let us never use the words “if you can!” Of course Jesus can and wants to help us, to heal us and be there for us. The question is do we really want to believe that He can do it. Do we have strong faith that what we ask will be done for us?
I think we do to certain extend, but we are also aware that we have to cry out with the boy’s father on daily basis: “I do believe, but help me overcome my unbelief!”

God’s blessings!
