Palm Sunday

SLAVA ISUSU HRISTU! GLORY BE TO JESUS CHRIST!

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ!

Today we commemorate the glorious entrance of our Lord to Jerusalem. We call this Palm Sunday in remembrance of all people who greeted Jesus with palm branches shouting: “Hosanna in the highest!” (Jn. 12:1-18). This Hosanna is the hymn, a cry of praise addressed to God. It means “Lord save us.”
Today and always we are called to repeat these words of praise for we are always in need of salvation. Let us rejoice today and let us with blessed pussy willows greet the Lord who wants to enter not only into Jerusalem but also into our hearts. Let us shout the praises to him and let us solemnly wait for his glorious resurrection.

Many blessings!

Fr. Janko!
