23rd Sunday After Pentecost

Slava Isusu Hristu! Glory be to Jesus Christ!

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ!

In the life of a Christian there is no room for two totally opposite entities. There is no room for light and darkness. We know who the light of our lives is and also who is the representation of the darkness. In the presence of Jesus Christ the forces of darkness are “shrieking, falling down and screaming” as we have heard in today’s Gospel story (Lk. 8:26-39). Satan wants to control our lives, he wants to be our boss in everything we do in order to lie, steal, kill and destroy, which is his job in the world. Through our sins we are allowing him into our lives and he does just that. That is why we are always to be in the presence of our Lord, protected by him who is much powerful than all the demons. With Jesus we are sheltered from all the attacks of evil and we are able to live joyous and meaningful lives.

Many blessings!

Fr. Janko!
