Hristos Voskres! Christ is Risen!
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ!
Today we are invited to return back to the scene of Jesus’ crucifixion, His burial and the event that occurred to the faithful and compassionate women. And what happened to them? In the Gospel of St. Mark (Mk. 16:1-8) we read that they were rewarded to see the empty tomb and the angel bringing them great news that Jesus is not dead. He is Risen! A Mixture of fear and immense joy came upon the myrrh-bearing women by hearing this.
We heard the news also when we celebrated Easter two weeks ago. As the women were sent by the angel to tell the news to the apostles, so we are sent also. With joy in our hearts we are sent to proclaim to our unsecure and doubting world that Christ is Risen, He is with us, He wants to help us, He loves us…
