Sunday of the Man Born Blind

Hristos Voskres! Christ is Risen!

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ!

All of chapter nine of the Gospel of St. John is dedicated to a dramatic discourse between a man who was blind, his parents and the Pharisees. All because of the goodness of Jesus, who seeing the blind man, healed him. Jesus didn’t want to irritate the religious leaders, but like always, He wanted to teach his disciples a lesson. After explaining to the apostles that it wasn’t the man’s fault nor his parents, Jesus uttered powerful words about himself: “While I am here in the world, I am the light of the world.” Yes, Jesus is the light of the world, but so many people are still living in the darkness. They do so simply because they don’t want to recognize Him as the Saviour, they don’t want to accept Him, love Him and serve Him… I hope we are never among those people, and let us encouraged one another to be the messengers of Jesus’ light among them.

May our Lord bless and protect all the Mothers with long life, good health, constant joy, divine grace and salvation. HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!

God bless! Fr. Janko!
