Slava Isusu Hristu! Glory be to Jesus Christ!
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ!
We are now on the journey between Ascension and Pentecost, which we celebrated last Thursday. We are in the expectation, as were the apostles, of the great gift of the Holy Spirit. Jesus went to heaven to be with his Father, but as we have heard in today’s Gospel (Jn. 17:1-13), He did not abandon us at all. He said: “My prayer is not for the world, but for those you have given me, because they belong to you.” Yes, we belong to our Heavenly Father and always will be his if we follow his commandments and if we hold firm and have true faith. The faith which our Fathers of Nicea (325) transferred to us, explained to us, and asked us to love it. Today and always we are thankful to the Fathers and we are trying to imitate them in our witnessing to the world about true faith.
